Greenwood Youth Project

A Greenwood Youth Project programme

RE:WRITE

Helping young people understand where they are, recognise what they can become and create a direction forward.

A clear six-stage structure, delivered by Greenwood Youth Project in partnership with schools and community organisations and shaped around each setting.

Bring RE:WRITE to your school
Pupils in matching T-shirts printed with Excellence, Friendship and Respect sit on a school field listening to a speaker.

What RE:WRITE is for

A clearer sense of who they are and where they could go.

RE:WRITE gives young people the time, space and challenge to think seriously about themselves and their future, with people who take them seriously too. It reaches them early, while there is still plenty of time to change direction.

Themes young people work through

  • Identity
  • Confidence
  • Resilience
  • Mindset
  • Aspirations
  • Opportunities
  • Decision making
  • Personal responsibility
  • Future pathways
  • Goal setting
  • Creating a plan

How RE:WRITE works

Six stages. One direction forward.

Each stage builds on the last. Young people start with an honest look at where they are and finish with a plan of their own.

  1. RE:DISCOVER

    Where am I now?

Young people take an honest look at who they are, what matters to them and the strengths they already have.

    • Identity
    • Strengths
    • Values
  2. RE:FRAME

    How do I see it?

Looking at setbacks, pressure and other people's expectations differently, so they become something to work with.

    • Mindset
    • Resilience
  3. RE:BUILD

    What can I strengthen?

Practical work on confidence, habits and taking responsibility for the choices that are theirs to make.

    • Confidence
    • Personal responsibility
    • Practical skills
  4. RE:IMAGINE

    What could be possible?

Meeting different people, hearing real stories and discovering careers and opportunities they may never have considered.

    • Aspirations
    • Careers
    • Opportunities
  5. RE:DIRECT

    Which way next?

Weighing up options, making decisions and setting goals that feel both ambitious and reachable.

    • Decision making
    • Goal setting
  6. RE:WRITE

    What happens next?

Bringing it together into a personal plan and a clearer direction forward.

    • Creating a plan
    • Future pathways

How it's delivered

Shaped around your setting.

In partnership

RE:WRITE is delivered in partnership with schools and community organisations. We start by listening to what you're seeing in your young people.

Built around your setting

RE:WRITE has a clear six-stage structure, while delivery is shaped around the needs, context and timetable of each school or organisation.

Delivered by Greenwood Youth Project

RE:WRITE is delivered by Greenwood Youth Project, creating a consistent experience across each stage, within our safeguarding procedures.

Reviewed together

At the end, we review the experience with you: what worked, what young people said, and what should happen next.

Who's in the room

Greenwood Youth Project

RE:WRITE is delivered by Greenwood Youth Project. Sessions are currently led by our founder, and appropriately trained and approved people may deliver it in future, so every group gets the same consistent experience.

Ambassadors

People from different careers and backgrounds may join selected sessions to share their experiences and perspectives, talk about careers and answer questions. Being an Ambassador doesn't make someone a RE:WRITE facilitator.

About our Ambassadors

Bring RE:WRITE to your young people.

Tell us about your setting and what you're seeing. We'll talk it through and work out whether RE:WRITE is the right fit.
