Greenwood Youth Project Ambassadors

Become an Ambassador.

Young people can only aim for what they can imagine. Greenwood Youth Project Ambassadors help them imagine more.

What is an ambassador?

A window into what's possible.

Greenwood Youth Project Ambassadors are people from different professions, backgrounds and life experiences who help young people discover paths they may never have considered.

Meeting someone who has done the job, built the business, learned the trade, competed at the highest level or taken an unexpected route can turn something that once felt distant into something real.

Who can apply

Your experience could open someone else's eyes.

Greenwood Youth Project Ambassadors come from all walks of life. What matters is having genuine experience, perspective or skills to share, and wanting to use them to help young people see what could be possible.

What ambassadors bring

Get involved in ways that suit you.

Nobody is expected to do everything. We'll talk about what suits you.

Three different roles

Speakers, Ambassadors and RE:WRITE delivery.

One person can hold more than one role, but none leads automatically to another. Being an Ambassador doesn't make someone a RE:WRITE facilitator.

Safeguarding

Keeping young people safe comes first.

Applying, or being accepted as an ambassador, does not by itself mean working with young people unsupervised.

Everyone involved goes through safeguarding and suitability steps appropriate to their role. Depending on the role, these may include identity verification, suitability checks, a safeguarding briefing, our Code of Conduct and, where the role is legally eligible, an appropriate DBS check.
